Only complete scholarship applications, that include all of the following items, will be submitted to the Selection Committee for review:

  • Completed scholarship application form
  • Student Aid Report (SAR) from your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) through the U.S. Department of Education.
  • An official transcript of grades for the applicant’s most recently completed coursework.
  • Information regarding the cost of attendance for the college(s) you are applying.
  • A personal statement in which the applicant will develop his/her position on this topic:
    1)Describe what your life’s goals and objectives are and how obtaining additional education or a college degree will further these goals and objectives.
    2)Explain what qualifies you for this scholarship.
    3) Describe your financial need for scholarship assistance.

The scholarship committee will consider the following when selecting recipients:

  • GPA - Scholarship Awards are determined by applicant's cumulative GPA.
  • Financial need as determined by the costs of college attendance compared with an applicant’s household income and other financial factors.
  • Prior academic performance, personal achievements and school and community involvement.
  • Commitment to and demonstrated potential for success in college, technical or vocational school.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS


Scholarships will range from $1,500 to $4,000. 

Scholarships are paid directly to the recipient’s school and are designated for tuition, required fees, books and supplies. Scholarships are awarded for one year only, but renewal is possible if funds are available and satisfactory academic progress is maintained.

Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age or national origin.
