Earp Scholarship
The Charles and Dorothy Earp Scholarship was established in 1997 to provide low-income students in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System with financial assistance for attending undergraduate universities.
Initially, the fund will award scholarships to recipients of the Greater Steps Scholars Program and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Scholarship Incentive Fund. Greater Steps recipients are eligible to receive the Earp Scholarship if they meet the minimum requirements.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Attended a public school in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District;
- Are enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university;
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale; and
- Demonstrate financial need.
