Mentor Coordinator


Kim has a deep passion for being an advocate for young people and is zealous in creating partnerships and opportunities that benefit youth, and that makes her a perfect fit to be GSS’s Mentor Coordinator. She helps to promote and enhance the development of young people’s mind, body and spirit by instilling within them a sense of purpose and belonging through mentoring.

Kim’s passion for youth has been recognized both locally and nationally for her work and achievements in youth development. Kim has over 22 years of non-profit experience in a wide variety of areas. She studied Sociology and Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her prior work experience includes Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Mecklenburg County Parks & Recreation and working as a Regional Director for both the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida and YWCA of the Central Carolinas.

Kim is also the founder and Executive Director of Firm Foundations Youth & Family Outreach, Inc. – a non-profit organization that places a strong focus on program impact and accountability, specifically for adolescents and their families.
